About Me
I have been a personal trainer since 2005, following a career as a research biologist
Being a personal trainer combines my passion for fitness with a desire to help other people improve their health. Alongside the traditional fitness activities like weight training and running, I enjoy all things active including cycling, hiking, skiing, climbing, and, more recently, paddle boarding. I am a black belt in Shotokan karate, and train regularly with a Zoom class
I believe that everyone can benefit from an improved level of fitness and diet, and that absolutely everybody can, with a little help, find a way to achieve a healthier and fitter life. It is never too late to make a difference. Having only come to fitness myself in my 40s after a previous life as a couch potato, I know first-hand how much better and more alive you will feel as you get fitter, and I can also appreciate the difficulties encountered along the way!
Over and above all else, my personal philosophy is that fitness should be fun, and that my role as a personal trainer is to ensure that you find a safe, effective, and enjoyable way to get fit.
